This is one of the most powerful visions I have read the rehearsal of and Dr. Mark Barclay is such a man of integrity and a trusted leader who is standing strong in this day.

The Flaming Herald

The following is an end time vision given to an established, seasoned minister of the gospel and told in his own words. My heart was quickened when I read it and I thought: “This vision needs to be circulated to the body of Christ worldwide for we are seeing the increasing effects of it being unfolded in this hour, although it was given more than 25 years ago.”

If you are skeptical of these things I would encourage you to listen to your heart as you read it and allow the Holy Spirit to bear witness with you.

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a…

The Gift Of Prophecy VS The Office Of The Prophet

Almost every time I teach on Prophecy, Prophets or Prophetic Gifting; I usually make this statement somewhere as a foundational truth: “Every Prophet will Prophesy, but not everyone who Prophesies is a Prophet!” I recently posted this statement on Facebook and got a slew of “Likes” and comments stating things like: “Too many do not understand the difference, and the difference is vast!” “If the Church taught it properly we would not have this confusion.”

Getting this kind of feedback lets me know that there is, in spite of all the excellent teaching and books that are out there, still a tremendous amount of ignorance in the Body of Christ when it comes to this subject matter.

First of all the Gift of Prophecy is one of the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit that we find listed in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, which operates as the Spirit wills. The Office of the Prophet is a Ministry Gift found in Ephesians 4:11 and the TWO ARE NOT THE SAME!

I know that there is a teaching out there that says well gifts are gifts are gifts. To me that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. That is like saying well sports are sports are sports. You don’t play (American) Football with Baseball Rules! Nobody has ever thrown a home run pass, but they have thrown a touchdown pass. Gifts of the Spirit and five-fold Ministry Gifts are not the same. They have different purposes and are given different ways.

When it comes to the Gift of Prophecy, like all the other eight Gifts of the Holy Spirit the Bible is quite clear that these gifts operate as the Spirit wills. (1 Corinthians 12:11) So it is evident from this that the Gifts of the Spirit are Gifts that the Holy Spirit gives or administers.

When it comes to the Office of the Prophet, like the other four Ascension Gifts of Christ the Bible is clear that when Jesus ascended up on high HE gave Gifts to men. (Ephesians 4:8-11) So it is evident from this that the Ascension Gifts or 5 Fold Gifts are given by the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ.

One is a Gift that is given by the Holy Spirit and the other is a Gift that is given by Jesus. The Gifts of the Spirit are given to provide for and meet needs while the 5 Fold Ministry Gifts are given to Equip the saints. Their purpose is not even the same. So Prophecy and a Prophet are not the same thing. Yet as we stated at the beginning: “Every Prophet will Prophesy, but not everyone who Prophesies is a Prophet!”

Prophecy is just one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit that will function in the life of a Prophet, not the only one, there are others as well. You could say that the Prophet will have the gift of Prophecy fully developed in their life and ministry and will flow in it at a much higher level than someone who just gives a ‘Prophetic Word’.

The New Testament truth is that every Born Again, Spirit Filled, Believer can and should prophesy.

“Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” 1 Corinthians 14:1 NKJV

Who was 1 Corinthians written to? To the Church that was at Corinth. (1 Corinthians 1:2) Notice Paul in writing to the church admonished them to desire (the New American Standard Bile says desire earnestly) spiritual gifts and especially prophecy. So out of all nine gifts of the Spirit that He gives to the Church to provide for and meet needs we are told to especially desire the Gift of Prophecy. Now if it wasn’t for all believers, why would the Apostle Paul say to desire this gift above all the others?

When we consider the Ministry Gift, the Office of the Prophet, it is quite different. Where the Gift of Prophecy all believers are encouraged to believe for and earnestly desire it, the Office of the Prophet is for those that are hand selected by the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ. Look at the wording in Ephesians chapter 4 in relation to the Ascension Gifts:

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” Ephesians 4:11 NKJV (Emphasis Mine)

Did you happen to notice the word ‘Some’? Notice it did not say He gave all…it says He gave some. This indicates to us that this Gift of the Office of the Prophet as well as the other four Ministry Gifts are limited. Notice also what the Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth along this line:

“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts…” 1 Corinthians 12:28-31a NKJV (Emphasis Mine)

The way Paul is asking the questions rhetorically the obvious answer is NO! All are not Apostles! All are not Prophets! All do not have the Gifts of Healings! Did you also notice that Prophecy is not mentioned here? I believe that was not by mistake or happenstance because as we saw in the above references all Believers could and should Prophesy.

So clearly we can see that the Gift of Prophecy is for all Believers but the Office of the Prophet is for a select few.

Good Word on the Apostolic by my Friend Apostle Jim Becton.

James Becton Ministries/ EaglesVision Apostolic Co!

Since we have been talking about the order and fellowship of fathers and sons, the importance of relationship through divine connections, I think we can see a “progression by digression” in the scriptures (going back to move forward) in Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians; Let’s look at the passages beginning in I. Co. 15:9,10 and going back in the scripture to see how they relate. I pray many of you will add your comments and own posts to see how this apostle to the Gentiles affected the early church:

I. Co. 15:9,10- For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God..Before we list verse 10, look at that three-fold principle of the apostle AS IT RELATES TO AN APOSTOLIC ATTITUDE: 1) I am the least of the apostles…

Sometimes I Forget….

This is a no holds barred look at real life by niece. I applaud her for living her faith and convictions in the face of some folks’ ignorance.

Hand Me Downs

Sometimes I forget that our son has Down syndrome. It’s easy to be distracted by his two year old tantrums, his mischievous smile and go getter attitude. Gabe is kind hearted but stubborn. He immediately runs to check on sister when she is having a dramatic, I’m four and the world is over, meltdown. He will climb onto your lap randomly and stretch his little fingers up to stroke your cheek, just to say I love you.

He also destroys things. Opens drawers, pulls things out, throws them on floor. When you confront him, he ducks his head and looks up from under his eyebrows with a sort of sorry smirk. He helps pick up, sometimes, or wanders off to destroy something else. He loves music, he will start to dance the second he hears it. He absolutely cannot resist participating in a round of Itsy Bitsy, or Twinkle Twinkle…

The Nature Of The Apostolic & Prophetic

Guest Blog By My Good Friend Apostle Ricci J Hausley Sr.

The nature of the Apostolic and the Prophetic are foundational in nature, and like all foundations are not known for visibility. Our problem has been that as God has restored the fivefold ministry to its rightful place it has been done in Kingdom fashion in reverse order. The problem is most have been sired in some past movement that was not Apostolic and Prophetic from its inception. So too many of us brought over other under pinning’s from Pastoral, Evangelistic and Teaching orientations. The Apostolic and the Prophetic are FOUNDATIONAL in nature.

As one who has been a commercial builder for 35 years with a degree in Architecture, I have NEVER seen a FOUNDATION in my years of experience be known for its visibility, but rather it is known for what it supports. I will never forget being invited to a meeting by a good friend of mine with someone who advertises some of the most notable ministries of our times. Their clean, slick graphics were on the level of a Madison Avenue level of excellence, for they really looked great. But, while listening to the presentation I could not help but notice the emphasis of 99% of the work that was presented, and trust me I am not being critical, but it all focused on the personalities of the Ministers and their Ministries. I sat very quiet for when I saw this trend; I felt very strongly that he had absolutely NOTHING in that presentation for me.

So I was so quiet that it got his attention and he came over to me and asked if there was anything he could do to assist me with the presentation of my Ministry. I responded I would rather not share (I did not want to put him on the spot in front of everyone). So carefully I shared while the presentation was excellent, and the work tremendous, because of the trend presented, that he did not have anything that would be of benefit for me. Then he stated I present some of the greatest Ministries in this country and in various countries, what makes you different from them? I told him I would rather not say in front of everyone. So he asked can I speak with you after the meeting, for I have never had anyone respond to us this way. I said I would hang around for a few. After taking numerous orders, he came over to me and said “Why did you state what you stated?”

I then proceeded to share with him my emphasis, and how my focus is not on MY MINISTRY nor my great gift and personality, but upon the next generation. He told me he had never heard anything like this in all of his years of doing this business. I told him if he could show me how to advertise, and promote the next generation I am all ears. He then stated I would not know how to begin doing that, and you are right I do not have anything in my offerings like that. See a FOUNDATION is not known for its visibility but for what it supports. I closed with him and told him I will always be best known through those I serve, especially my Sons and Daughters, not my anointing, my great gifts, calling or Ministry. In the Old Testament the High Priest began their ministry at 30 years old, and retired at 50 years old. They spent the balance of their life making a safe place for the next generation. I have served our network and school for over 20 years, and I have transferred the entire thing to the next generation. I was just listening to Dr. Myles Munroe’s family, specifically his son Chairo (Myles Jr.) and he and his family and ministry are face to face with legacy, inheritance, future leadership, and they are some tall shoes to fill. Hopefully this will give all of us pause and invoke a refocusing of what we are doing.

It is not enough to believe in the apostolic, or receive Apostles, or even believe that you are called and have been commissioned to an apostolic office. Unless what we are doing has been BUILT upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets are we then truly APOSTOLIC? I am afraid all of us need to revisit what is holding us up, and you may be surprised. I have and am doing such an exercise and something had to be abandoned, for it is like the parable Jesus spoke about when he dealt with the two houses. The two houses were built of good material and workmanship, with one exception. when they were inspected at the foundation level they were not the same. Dear Apostolic Fathers as His Sons are listening and on looking, let’s personally revisit our own life, message, and Ministry and make absolutely sure what we are doing is FOUNDATIONAL in nature, and not ambition driven, or performance oriented, and orphan hearted in its expression. All of us have enough miles on us and have been burned enough to give our tales from the dark side. But as Apostle Jim Becton’s vision which God gave him to release is for Fathers to share and Sons and Daughters to listen and learn is a paradigm shift which is most necessary.

The Whole Counsel Of God

We are living in a day when I dare say many a Preacher and many a Believer have no clue what the whole counsel of God is. The Apostle Paul was clear that in his ministry it was something that he preached.

“For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.” Acts 20:27 NKJV

“For I never shrank or kept back or fell short from declaring to you the whole purpose and plan and counsel of God.” Acts 20:27 Amplified Bible

Before Paul stated the above he also said to those he was ministering to in Ephesus after spending three years with them and knowing that his physical assignment with them was concluded:

“And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.” Acts 20: 25 & 26 NKJV

Why was Paul innocent of the blood of all men? Because he preached the whole counsel of God to them. He declared that he did not shrink back from declaring or not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God. What does it mean to preach the whole counsel of God? That is a valid question. Simply it means to preach all the truth of the Word of God and all the Doctrines of the Bible.

Why is it so important that we preach the whole counsel of God? Paul gives us some dangers that could arise from not preaching the whole counsel of God.

“Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.” Acts 20:28-31 NKJV

The first danger that Paul points out is that savage wolves will come in not sparing the flock. The warning is for the Overseers (Leaders, Preachers, or Teachers) to shepherd the church of God. How do they do that? Looking at this passage contextually it would be by teaching and preaching the whole counsel of God. It seems that Paul was convinced that if the people had the whole counsel of God declared to them they would be spiritually strong and not susceptible to savage wolves.

The second danger Paul identifies is men rising up from within the church who will speak perverse things and draw disciples away and after themselves. This sounds very much like what Jesus warned:

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God’s chosen ones).” Matthew 24:24 Amplified Bible

Notice Jesus said if possible even the elect, God’s chosen ones would be deceived and led astray. Why? Because they do not know the Word of God. They have not been taught the whole counsel of God.

Paul stressed to these Ephesian believers to remember that for three years he poured into them day and night. He wanted to make sure their foundation was solid and would not be led astray.

This sounds very much like what he later wrote back to this same church in Ephesus regarding the purpose of what we commonly call the five-fold ministry (the same ones he admonished in Acts to shepherd the flock of God):

“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming.” Ephesians 4:14 NASB

If leaders do their job by teaching and preaching the whole counsel of God the people will not be tossed around by every wind of doctrine nor by deceitful scheming; conversely if the whole counsel of God is not declared they will be.

In the day and age in which we are living this could not be more critical than it has been in all of my existence in the church. There has never been a greater need for the whole counsel of God to be declared unashamed than there is today because we find ourselves living in a day that Paul also declared would come:

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult (perilous KJV) times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 NASB

This certainly is a picture of our day…and right in this context…Paul goes into Chapter 4 admonishing his son, the Apostle in training, Timothy with these words:

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled (having itching ears KJV), they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:1-5 NASB

What is the cure for these days of the perilous or difficult times? What is the cure for these days when they will not endure sound doctrine? What is the cure for those who want to have their ears tickled or having itching ears? It is the same cure in all cases…PREACH THE WORD!

Paul did not say preach part of the word. He did not say preach your favorite doctrine. He did not say to ride your hobby horse. He said to Preach The Word!

We have many today that do not preach the word; they preach parts of the word. They preach one or two pet doctrines. Many ride a hobby horse and nothing else. Notice that Paul said that we would REPROVE, REBUKE, & EXHORT in season and out. When we do we will keep folks being deceived. What Paul was saying in this admonition to Timothy is exactly the same thing as what he said he did in Acts 20 while he spent three years in Ephesus:

“For I never shrank or kept back or fell short from declaring to you the whole purpose and plan and counsel of God.” Acts 20:27 Amplified Bible

In this day of hobby horse riders, God give us Preachers that will Preach The Word! God give us Preachers that will Declare the Whole Purpose, Plan and Counsel of God! The spiritual wellbeing of the flock of God hangs in the balance.
